Terminology and Interface Notes

A reference guide to the terms and concepts used in the Jvuxyrmela platform, intended to help users understand the vocabulary of the interface before or after gaining access.

Why consistent terminology matters

The Jvuxyrmela interface uses a defined vocabulary to describe the components of the information environment. Consistent terminology makes it possible for users to navigate the system predictably and to understand what a given label or display element refers to, regardless of which category they are viewing.

This page defines the principal terms used in the interface and in the support team’s communications. Where a term has a specific meaning within the system, that meaning is recorded here and takes precedence over any casual or general usage of the same word.

Glossary of platform terms

Term Definition within the Jvuxyrmela system
Category A defined grouping within the classification structure. Each category has a label and contains entries whose type and origin place them within that group. Categories are maintained by the organisation core and are not user-defined.
Classification label A short descriptor assigned to an entry that identifies which category it belongs to. Classification labels are consistent across the interface and do not change based on how the user is navigating the system.
Entry A single item within the information environment. Each entry belongs to at least one category and carries a classification label. The entry contains the information that has been structured within the system for that record.
Interface layer The part of the platform that users interact with directly. The interface layer handles how categories are displayed, how entries are rendered, and how navigation between sections is managed. It sits between the user and the organisation core.
Organisation core The internal layer of the platform that manages classification logic and category definitions. Users benefit from the organisation core through the structure it imposes on the displayed information, but they do not interact with it directly.
Platform boundary The outer limit of the information environment. Only entries that have been structured and classified within the system appear inside this boundary. Information outside the platform boundary is not accessible through the interface.
Summary view A display mode that shows an abbreviated version of an entry, typically including its classification label and a short description. Summary views allow users to scan a category before selecting specific entries for review.
Detailed view A display mode that shows the full content of an entry as structured within the system. The detailed view does not add editorial interpretation; it presents the entry as it has been organised.
Category filter A navigation control that restricts the displayed entries to those belonging to a selected category or combination of categories. Applying a filter does not remove entries from the system; it narrows the visible set.
Access request A formal enquiry submitted by a user who wishes to gain access to the Jvuxyrmela information interface. Access requests are reviewed by the support team. Submission of a request does not constitute confirmation of access.
Read access The standard form of access to the Jvuxyrmela platform. Users with read access can navigate and review entries within the interface but cannot modify classifications, add entries, or alter the structure of the information environment.
Support team The team at Jvuxyrmela Technologies Ltd. responsible for handling access enquiries, answering questions about the system, and managing the platform’s operation. The support team can be reached at [email protected].

The Jvuxyrmela interface is designed to be navigated by moving between categories and between summary and detailed views of entries. Users who are new to the system are encouraged to begin by reviewing the top-level category structure before narrowing to a specific area.

Category filters can be applied independently or in combination. When multiple filters are active, the interface shows only those entries that satisfy all applied conditions. Clearing a filter returns the display to the broader set.

Navigation within the interface does not require the user to return to the home view between sections. Movement between categories is available from any display state within the interface.

What to expect when access is first granted

Users who receive confirmation of access are provided with orientation information by the support team. This typically covers the top-level category structure, how to navigate between views, and how to identify the classification label for any given entry.

The orientation is not a training programme; it is an introduction to the interface’s basic navigation. Users who have specific questions about the system after their initial review of the interface are encouraged to contact the support team.

No particular level of technical knowledge is assumed. The interface is intended to be readable by users who are familiar with structured document navigation but may not have prior experience with this specific system.
